Mr. Huw Hughes

Finance Officer

Mr. Hughes is a CIMA qualified senior finance leader with over 30 years of global experience, having worked for DOW Jones, FTSE and DAX listed businesses. He has worked in the Middle East for 20 years including in the construction, engineering, and real estate sectors and is highly skilled in risk management, governance, and project delivery.

As CFO at Alshaya Enterprises, Mr. Hughes worked in conjunction with the CEO to drive an increase in annual turnover from $100m to $250m while simultaneously undertaking an overhaul of the company’s standard operating procedures and ERP system to strengthen internal controls and drive efficiency improvements.

As Regional Finance Director at Tebodin (Bilfinger) Middle East, Mr Hughes oversaw successful internal audits owing to the parent company being subject to FCPA investigations with no major comments.

Mr. Hughes has significant senior finance experience in SOX compliance reporting for US publicly traded companies during his time working for Ford and Estee Lauder.

Mr. Hughes has reported into global headquarters for multinational PLC’s, and the board for both large family conglomerates and government owned entities in the Middle East.
